About Aimee Williamson

Aimee Williamson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Service and Healthcare Administration at Suffolk University in Boston. She has a Ph.D. in Public Affairs and an MPA from the University of Colorado at Denver and Colorado Springs, respectively, and a BA from the University of Notre Dame. Aimee’s research and teaching interests focus on public management, including public-private management distinctions, collaboration, and administrative reform. She has publications in top quality public affairs journals, including Public Administration Review, Public Performance and Management Review, the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, and Public Administration Quarterly. Recent publications have branched out to include case writing and pedagogical scholarship.

Professional Experience

Aimee’s practical experience includes work in child advocacy and criminal justice. She previously served as a founding administrator of the Gateway Through the Rockies Program, a work-release program for non-violent offenders run through the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in Colorado, and as the Research Analyst and Data Coordinator for the Colorado Children’s Campaign, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for children’s issues, particularly those around health and education. More recently, she has served a variety of organizations related to healthcare and disabilities.
